I pray to whichever deity will answer me
My crew has all abandoned me, adrift is what I’m damned to be
All alone I traverse the tributary, panicking
Manfully, I stay on the course for where I’m headed
But I dread it as my vessel proves to be very decrepit
Torrents tear and split and shred it, liquid leaks through every crevice
Now I feel like I’m just being reckless
The heavy waters rock the boat, but I aim to stay afloat
The rain sprays straight at my face and down my waist it flows
Soakin’ me from head to toe, seepin’ into my rain coat
Lightnin' strikin’ down my hopes that I’ll live and make it home
My hull is shakin’, snappin’ breakin’
The wood under me disintegratin'
Crackin’ open, creatin’ a vacant
Hole for me to fall and cave in
As I tumble through the basin
Becomin' asphyxiated
I accept the fate I’m facin’
Knowin' that my quest’s forsaken
I awaken on a board that’s broken off my boat
Shaken and soakin’, down the river way I slowly float
Then it hits me, the creek is larger than it was before
My brain pacin’, I’ve made it to my destination I know
Since devising this inane scheme, I never thought I’d make green
Or witness this insane scene of all of my attained dreams
But where do I go from here, what should my next step be?
